PVC film printing is a type of printing. The substrate is PVC material, mostly used for gravure printing. Simply put, it means printing patterns on plastic. Like regular printing, there is screen printing offset printing. Therefore, quality issues such as inaccurate overprinting, color difference, sticking, dragging, pinholes, crystal dots, missed prints are the same as other types of printing. Most of them are caused by static electricity. Therefore, anti-static is very important in the film printing process, especially during the dry seasons of autumn winter.
1. Installing static eliminators: also known as static elimination devices. It consists of a high-voltage power generator discharge electrodes (usually made of ion needles). Air is ionized into a large number of positive negative ions through high-voltage corona discharge. The wind blows a large number of positive negative ions onto the surface of an object to neutralize static electricity, directly bringing the static eliminator close to the surface of the object to neutralize static electricity. There are three types: manual automatic ion air guns.

A movable contact static eliminator means that the user keeps the device in contact with the charged body, eliminating static electricity on the charged body during contact. Automatic static eliminators are carried by people, so no matter people go, the equipment will automatically sense the surrounding static electricity to eliminate static electricity, without the need for the equipment to come into contact with other special mechanisms. Due to the fact that the ion air gun itself neutralizes static electricity through charged airflow, caution should be taken during use as printing ink is a flammable material improper operation can easily cause fires.
2. Increasing ink viscosity: In printing production, we will see patterns with whiskers, called ink whiskers, which are also caused by static electricity. They often appear in PVC film printing because PVC film cannot absorb ink in a timely manner. When static electricity causes ink to flow around, it is necessary to increase the viscosity of the ink reduce the printing speed to solve the problem. Add anti-static agents during the printing process.
3. Control the air humidity in the production environment: The main cause of static electricity is dry air, the reason why summer production is rarely affected by static electricity is that the air humidity in the production environment is relatively high, about 65% during rain. Electric charges dissipate easily. Therefore, the PVC printing workshop must either maintain a constant temperature humidity, control the temperature above 25 degrees, keep the air humidity within the range of 45% to 65%, but this investment is very small; Another method is to use a humidifier to eliminate dryness, controlling air humidity is also a feasible anti-static method.
